‘The Servant’ snatches nom for cash prize

‘The Servant’ directed by Farnoush Abedi has been nominated for prize money presented by Taichung International Animation Festival in Taiwan.

‘The Servant’ has so far grabbed more than 20 awards from different national and international film festivals.

It narrates the familiar story of a master and his servant, the story of a writer’s encounter with a gigantic insect: a cockroach.

The cockroach becomes a servant but gradually begins to realize that it deserves better conditions, so it tries to turn the table and change the game in its own favor.

The man, however, attempts to preserve the current situation but soon realizes that the game has no rules.

The 3rd Taichung International Animation Festival had announced its official lineup, including ‘The Servant’, on July 31st. A total of 60 animations were selected for screening during the festival, out of 1849 submissions from 95 countries and regions.
